Conditions
- Salland Festival is a member of the IOV and CIOFF and respects and follows the rules of these organizations.
- Salland Festival organizes a yearly International Folkloristic Dance Festival in the month of June.
- Participants: Folklore groups from all over the world can participate in the festival, every year we invite 6 foreign dance groups .
- Groups have to arrive on Wedsneday and leave on Tuesday after the festival.
Group
- A participating folklore group should have 10 -30 members (inclusive musicians, leaders, drivers, etc.)
- It’s a problem to find lodging for young children (0-16 years), so Salland Festival can’t accept children in the group.
- All members must have a task in the participation or shows. Group “tourists” (“members” who have nothing to do with the shows) will not be accepted. They have to take care of their own lodgings, meals, etc. Salland Festival is not responsible at all for these people.
- The group has to dance on “live music” (musicians), recorded music is not accepted.
- Each group will be accompanied by two hosts, who are their guides during the festival.
Lodgings
- The members of the groups will stay with host families in Raalte and the villages around Raalte.
- Two people stay with one host family, the leader of the group is asked to divide the members into pairs prior to arrival.
- A host family is not a hotel, the room mates are considered to be members of the family and to respect the rules of the house.
- Host families are not being paid for their hospitality by Salland Festival or any organization.
Costs
- The costs of transport to and from Holland are for the group’s own account.
- All the costs (transports, lodgings, meals, drinks, excursions) in Holland in relation to the festival are on the account of Salland Festival.
Insurances
- Groups have to be insured against all normal risks of life, illnesses, hospitalization, accidents, damages, third part risks, etc.
- Salland Festival can take no responsibility for these risks nor for financial and/or other consequences.
- There is First Aid during the performances for small accidents, etc.; which is free of charge.
Risks
- Groups participate on their own risk.
- Salland Festival will take all measures to avoid risks for the participants, the workers and the audience.
Politics/Religion
- Salland Festival respects any opinion concerning religion and politics, but does not allow any religious or political activity from anyone during the festival.
- On Sunday there is a special Salland Festival-service in the local church, groups can attend this ecumenical meeting or join in when they are asked to do so by the local vicar.
